The Gordon Parks School
We are a Pre-Kindergarten through 8th-grade (Pre-K-8) school in Rosedale, Queens, NY. Our shared vision at PS/IS 270 is to prepare college- and career-ready students in a culturally diverse and equitable environment by cultivating their intellectual, artistic, social, emotional, and ethical development.
When we adjust our curriculum across all content areas to include opportunities for students to collaborate and engage in meaningful discussion through real-world problem-solving tasks, then we will strengthen their ability to justify and articulate their thinking, both verbally and in writing, resulting in improved teaching and learning outcomes.
